Definitely music. A tall glass of slurp. A developing relationship with oneself.
No matter how I look at these surreal new images and animations coming out of ‘AI’ studios around the world, they’re mesmerizing. I squint, glance, peer, and there is always something new to see. A young budtender told me recently that audiences today want hits. Lots of hits to the brain. Images and hooks every 30 seconds/minutes or less. These artworks fit that bill with a bullet.
These works, done this way, with archetypal and seriously detailed subjects are leading us into a 5D world most people aren’t ready for. The animations leave me with a whiff of vertigo and I’m taken with how many times I can watch them over and over and still pick out new stuff. When there’s the right music accompaniment, the effect is ten-fold. I’m just looking forward to actually being one of these smiling, morphing, winking, alluring creatures myself one day, or at least meet one on some secret beach. Maybe it’s already happening and I don’t know it, or I’ve forgotten; like Jodie Foster in Contact. Maybe I too can remind myself in a dream. Anything’s possible.
